Hi, I’m Jill Whalen — Learning Experience Designer

I’m a creative, learner-focused Instructional Designer and Learning Experience Designer with over 15 years of experience designing impactful, scalable learning across K–12, higher education, and SaaS environments. My career began in the classroom, where I developed a deep understanding of how people learn best. Since then, I’ve combined that foundation with expertise in customer success and instructional design to craft resources that make complex products and concepts simple, engaging, and accessible.

I design end-to-end learning journeys—including e-learning modules, microlearning videos, workshops, and certification programs—that are grounded in adult learning principles and refined through data-driven insights. Partnering closely with Product, Support, and Customer Success teams, I translate complexity into clarity and create branded content that improves the customer experience while driving adoption, confidence, and organizational impact.

I’m passionate about sharing knowledge and growing the field of learning design. I’ve presented at national conferences, authored articles and blogs on instructional strategies, and mentored colleagues who are building their skills in instructional design.

When I’m not designing learning experiences, you’ll find me exploring new educational technologies, diving into data to uncover insights, playing pickleball, reading, or simply enjoying time with family and friends.
